- Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage data: Features used, screens viewed, actions taken, session duration, and in-app navigation patterns.
- Log data: IP address, browser or app version, timestamps, crash reports, and error logs.
- Camera/Barcode data: When you use the barcode scanner, images are processed locally on your device. Scanned barcode values may be sent to our servers to look up product information; raw camera images are not stored.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Grocery sales data: We receive product pricing and promotional data from the Kroger API (covering Fred Meyer, Smith's, and other Kroger-family stores). This data is not linked to individual users.
- Authentication providers: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers as permitted by their terms.

We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
- Sync your pantry, shopping lists, meal plans, and settings across devices.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.

- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MEHD, LLC, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent in-app notice prior to such a transfer.
- With your consent: We may share information in other ways with your explicit consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

- Firebase Security Rules to restrict database access.
- Secure, hashed password storage.
